Sugar Land Town Square from Concept to Completion

I’ve been working as a member of this development team for 28 years and for probably 15 of those years, we have thought about what we would do with our prime corner. We started looking around the country at projects that incorporated what you see here: retail, residential, a city hall, office, hotel, conference center.

Those uses can all go on this 32 acres. We have 560,000 square feet of office, 250,000 square feet of retail, 250,000 square feet of residential, 300,000 square feet of hotel/conference center and an 82,000 square foot City Hall. The total is just shy of 1.4 million square feet. The result of that is Sugar Land Town Square.

The Minute Maid Headquarters, which is in completion and nearing occupancy is the end of Phase III. Phase IV will be at the intersection of Highway 6 and Town Center Drive. That will be another 175,000 feet of office with 15,000 square fee of retail. And with that, we’re finished.

Our goal was to create a gathering place, a downtown feel for Sugar Land and Fort Bend County. You can go from A to Z, from 1-year-olds up to 100-year-olds; there is something in Town Square for everyone.

Just wanted to say the new Town Square in Sugar Land is a real piece of work. It has turned Sugar Land into a real hotspot.
